The Anika James Foundation (AJF) serves the hopes and efforts of young people worldwide by funding educational and performing arts projects, providing scholarships, and sponsoring sustainable grassroots efforts that integrate performing arts, mental health, and education.
The guiding principles of the Anika James Foundation are based on the belief that:
human diversity, in all its forms, should be celebrated,
education is a universal right and a means to eradicate poverty around the world, and
performing arts provide a venue for young people with different learning styles to reach their full potential and lead healthy lives.
The mission of AJF is to honor Anika’s passion for service, education, and the arts. We do this by championing the healthy development of young people through support of performing arts, educational initiatives, and community-building efforts.
Founded in September 2011, the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization with a vision is to create a world where young people feel seen, valued, and hopeful.
